Company History

Established in 1989 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Prins Aquatherapy provided aquatic physical therapy under the care of licensed Physical Therapists, to more than four thousand patients with referrals from over 250 medical practitioners. Under the direction of company founder Jan Prins, Ph.D., the company combined clinical services with research in aquatic rehabilitation.

    Research was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science at the University of Hawaii, where Dr. Prins is the director of the Aquatic Research Laboratory.
