Training & Certification

Prins Aquatherapy is now partnering with the Outreach College at the University of Hawaii – Manoa, to provide an innovative training and certification program for practitioners wishing to specialize in aquatic exercise.
Under the Professional and Special Programs offering of the Outreach College, this program offers individuals and groups the opportunity to increase their professional skills and knowledge.

Course Outline
  • Anatomy & Biomechanics of aquatic motion.
  • Familiarization of specific exercise protocols. Includes training DVD’s showing above- and underwater movement mechanics of exercises.
  • Identification of contraindicating movement patterns.
  • Detailed training on how to incorporate swimming stroke mechanics into an aquatic exercise program.

Students receive certificates upon completion of the course of study. The Aquatic Exercise Training Program can be held either at the University of Hawaii or an outside facility.
